We went in May and although the temperatures were way higher than what you would normally expect for the season, the one place that should have been cool and comfortable (the reading room- where people were genuinely studying) was sweltering! I cannot say if they have air-conditioning or not, but I certainly hope so because in July it would be unbearable. One is that this library is in Corso Di Porta Vittoria - slap bang in the middle of town, situated in an old building - however, apart from the facade and the internal garden - which is on the main road - as soon as you walk into the library you wonder what happened to the old building, It's all very run down and ugly and sort of thrown together, absolutely not what you would expect from a library in this location. ![]() However, there are two things that I find really irritating. The library has an INCREDIBLE amount of books and documents available to consult free of charge. My first comment is that the staff is really very helpful! I cannot find fault with any of them.
